Rural/nature photography takes a great deal of creativity, along with planning and a little luck, to capture a truly original image. Mountains, sunsets, and babbling brooks can be shot so many times by amateurs and professionals alike that they loose their uniqueness and appeal.
This is not to say that there are not truly great landscape photographers creating inspiring pieces of work. Ansel Adams immediately comes to mind and is by far the most highly recognized and respected photographer in this area past and present.
Images in this gallery were taken outside the "city limits" in a rural setting. These photos try to capture the less hectic rural lifestyle and the nature that surrounds us outside city life. Images remain modern in style with simple composition and a focus on texture.
