These photos were put on the site at the request of several customers looking for color photos. Rarely do I shoot in color but occasionally, especially in nature photography, color film is required to do the image justice. These photos are produced using the same traditional film to print method with NO digital or computer enhancement. The colors that you see are the same colors that I saw when the image was captured on film. If you are looking specifically for color photography I would highly recommend work by
Josh Mitchell, specializing in large canvas and archival paper prints that are dynamic in their composition and wall presentation. Other favorites working in color photography include
Keith Lazelle, a nationally recognized and award winning photographer from the Pacific Northwest specializing in nature photography, and
Valerie Rippey from Springfield Missouri both producing wonderful pieces of work. Click on the above links to view their work.

New to UnColor are hand colored photos. These photos meld the classic qualities of black and white images with just enough color to transform them into wonderful pieces of art. The hand colored images are created using the same high quality standards as the true black and white photos. Each image is processed from a black and white negative and printed on black and white professional photographic paper. Finishing touches are added by my wife Karen, using hand coloring techniques. The combination of the black and white image and a "touch" of color give the image a sense of surrealism. Note: each piece is unique due to the hand coloring technique and may vary slightly from the image you see.
